MY RUIN Guitarist Loses Father To Cancer

May 22, 2006

Orange County's BLEED THE SKY have posted the following message on their official web site:

"Our deepest sympathies go out to our good friend Mick Murphy of MY RUIN who lost his father to cancer [on Saturday, May 20]. We all know and respect Mick as hands down the best guitar player that we know personally, and have had the great opportunity of touring with MY RUIN for several weeks. We ask all our fans to please keep him and his family in your thoughts in this hard time."

MY RUIN — the Los Angeles-based rock band fronted by Tairrie B. — recently returned from the U.K. where they toured in support of their new album, "The Brutal Language". The successful trek was filmed and documented for what will be the band's first official DVD, "Spilling Open", to be released later in the year via their own imprint, Rovena Recordings, through Undergroove Records in the U.K. Check out "teaser" clips and photos from the tour at www.myspace.com/myruinfilms.
